Reece Walsh Injured in Broncos' Win
Broncos star fullback Reece Walsh has been injured in a head clash during the first half of the NRL's match against the Panthers.
Walsh collided with Panthers winger Taylan May in the 26th minute of the game. He was assisted from the field and failed his head injury assessment (HIA).
The injury is a blow to the Broncos, who are already without a number of key players. Walsh has been one of the team's best performers in 2023, scoring seven tries and setting up eight more in 13 games. He is also a key figure in the Broncos' attack and defence. His absence will be a big loss to the team.
The Broncos went on to win the match 24-12, but the victory was overshadowed by Walsh's injury. The extent of Walsh's injury is not yet known. He will undergo further assessment in the coming days.
